FKG Days are Over!

Micah and Joel invited friends over for dessert after their last day of school on May 17th. Joel asked a few boys to join
us for lunch with just Cameron spending the night. Micah, thinking that not many would come, invited his entire class for dessert and didn't plan on any overnight guests. Dessert was to last from 3:30-5:30. At 7:30, there were still more than 10 kids here! I had enough ingredients to make three pizzas so Tracy quickly went down the block to the closest pizza joint and bought four more to add to the mix. The kids played Mafia for hours that evening. By 10, Tracy and I were wondering at what point we should send people home. It wasn't long before the crowd dwindled to the three extras that spent the night. We are so thankful that at this point in our year here the boys have friends that they want to invite over to the house. And that the friends want to come!

When the students arrived, a few of the girls handed me
these lovely flowers! How thoughtful! They were the
prettiest bunch of flowers that I received all year.

I took a close up of the strange flower that looked
like greenish-yellow ribbon candy! I have never
seen anything like it.
